In the evening of May 30th, at the Maextro S800 launch conference today, the Maextro S800 jointly created by Huawei and Jianghuai Automobile was officially launched.
Yu Chengdong, the Executive Director of Huawei and the President of the Terminal BG, introduced that the Maextro S800 is equipped with dual-million-pixel Galaxy headlights, Nebula Scroll taillights and Star Grip door handles. The drag coefficient is as low as 0.206cd. It offers three types of wheels: Sunlight, Moonlight, and Starlight. It is equipped with smart electric doors, which are linked with millimeter-wave radars and solid-state lidars to intelligently sense dynamic and static obstacles, and support gesture control for opening and closing the doors from a distance.
The Maextro S800 provides 6 exclusive body colors, including 4 two-tone colors and 2 solid colors, namely Dawn Gold and Black, Cloud Realm Silver and Purple, Lingyun Ink and White, Wilderness Brown and Gold, Cloud Glow, and Starry Black. The body size is 5480×2000×1542mm, and the wheelbase is 3370mm. With a 3.4m² flat floor design, it realizes a headroom of 1033mm and a legroom of 959mm in the first row, and a headroom of 1018mm and a legroom of 1240mm in the second row.
The Maextro S800 is equipped with Huawei’s Lingjing Head-up Display system, with an imaging area of 76 inches. The cockpit debuts the intelligent variable starry sky roof. The front windshield adopts a three-layer nano silver-plating technology, with a UV blocking rate of more than 99%. The rear cockpit adopts a layout of 13 chasing lights in different zones. It provides 5 interior color schemes: Warm Sunlight Light Brown, Glow White and Purple, Cloud Mist Elegant White, Morning and Evening White and Brown, and Nightfall Ink Brown.
The executive four-seat version of the Maextro S800 adopts a rear dual zero-gravity seat layout, equipped with ActiveSafe zero-gravity seats, which are linked with ADS to automatically adjust the seat posture. The privacy light curtain glass can be adjusted with gestures in seconds, and the light shielding rate exceeds 99.6%. The lifting space screen and the one-click privacy function in the rear row ensure visual isolation between the front and rear rows. The independent sound zone technology achieves a sound isolation rate of 99%, ensuring that the front and rear rows do not interfere with each other. It debuts the Huawei SOUND Ultimate Huawei Yuezhang Extraordinary Series.
The Maextro S800 is equipped with the Tuling Longxing platform, which Yu Chengdong calls the industry’s first autonomous intelligent digital chassis, achieving a six-in-one full-domain integration architecture. The minimum decision-making link delay is less than 1ms, and the processing capacity is increased by 10 times. It adopts a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension design, and is standardly equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension, continuously variable damping shock absorbers and multi-wheel steering control. The pure electric dual-motor version of the Maextro S800 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, the extended-range three-motor version in 4.7 seconds, and the extended-range dual-motor version in 4.9 seconds. The four-piston calipers cooperate with electro-hydraulic coordinated braking, and the braking distance from 100 km/h to 0 is 34.5m. It adopts a ±12° rear-wheel steering technology, with a turning radius of 5.05m and a maximum crab-walking angle of 16°.
The Maextro S800 debuts the 800V Snowy Owl intelligent extended-range platform, supporting a 6C ultra-fast charging cell system. It takes the fastest 10.5 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. The extended-range dual-motor version has a CLTC comprehensive range of 1333km and a pure electric range of 400km. The extended-range three-motor version has a CLTC comprehensive range of 1200km and a pure electric range of 365km. Adopting an 800V high-voltage pure electric platform, the pure electric dual-motor version is equipped with a 96.7kWh battery, with a CLTC comprehensive range of 702km, supporting a 5C ultra-fast charging cell system, and it takes the fastest 12 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.
The Maextro S800 debuts Huawei ADS 4, equipped with an omnidirectional stereo fusion perception system, with 36 sensors, including 15 front sensors, 13 rear sensors, and 8 side sensors. It adopts a new Xuanyuan body structure design, and the official claims that its anti-collision ability is 5 times that of the national standard. The whole vehicle is equipped with 13 airbags, and there is a four-fold door lock mechanism including ADS linkage unlocking. It debuts the Angel Seat active safety system. It is equipped with the Whale Battery Platform 2.0, combined with cloud-based BMS battery management.
In terms of pricing, the Maextro S800 Xinghui Premium Edition is priced at 708,000 yuan ($98,000), the Xingyao Premium Edition is priced at 788,000 yuan ($109,000), the Xinghui Executive Edition is priced at 818,000 yuan ($113,000), and the Xingyao Executive Edition is priced at 1,018,000 yuan ($141,000). The Maextro S800 launches the Pioneer Program, with deliveries starting on June 26th, limited to 599 units, and large-scale batch deliveries will start in mid-August.
