On May 28th, the XPeng MONA M03 Max was officially launched. A total of two versions, the 502 Long-Range Max and the 600 Ultra Long-Range Max, were introduced, with the guided price range being 129,800 RMB ($17,900) and 139,800 RMB ($19,200) respectively.

The new models are still positioned as compact pure electric sedans. The version model of the 580 Ultra Long-Range Max, which was previously priced at 155,800 RMB, has been optimized and is now renamed the 600 Ultra Long-Range Max. It is worth mentioning that the official also launched the 515 Long-Range Plus version and the 620 Ultra Long-Range Plus version models this time, with the selling prices being 119,800 RMB ($16,500) and 129,800 RMB ($17,900) respectively. New Car Features

In terms of appearance, the new car follows the design of the current models. The T-shaped headlight group gives this car good recognition. At the same time, a trapezoidal air intake shape is adopted below, and an active air intake grille (AGS) is equipped, making its drag coefficient only 0.194. The side of the body adopts a fastback shape, and with the new style of the wheels, the fashion sense is well improved. The tail also adopts a T-shaped taillight design, echoing the headlight at the front. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4780/1896/1445mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2815mm.

This time, the XPeng MONA M03 Max also adds 3 new exterior paint colors, including Star Dusk Purple, Crescent Grey, and Star Rain Green. At the same time, two new 18-inch and 19-inch wheels are added. The M03 Max will also provide an AI-assisted driving blue light on the exterior rearview mirror.

Looking at the interior, the XPeng MONA M03 is equipped with a 15.6-inch central control large screen, and the instrument panel is optional. The car system will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip + 16GB of memory, and has a fully self-developed car system, supporting 360-degree panoramic imaging and 3D perception rendering maps. The air conditioner adopts a long strip through-type air outlet, and there are double cup holders, a wireless mobile phone charging pad, and a storage slot in the armrest area. This time, a new Dawn Purple color is added to the interior, which is the exclusive interior color for the Star Dusk Purple exterior, achieving a harmonious and unified interior and exterior.

The XPeng MONA M03 is equipped with an extra-large trunk space with the largest volume of 621L in the same class. Without adjusting the seats, it can easily hold one 28-inch and four 20-inch suitcases. When the rear seats are folded down, the space can be expanded to 1602L. The new car is standard equipped with a panoramic sunroof of 1.22 square meters, using Low-E laminated glass, which has a 99.9% ultraviolet isolation rate and a 97.6% infrared isolation rate. In terms of intelligent driving, this car will be equipped with dual Orin-X chips, with a computing power of 508 TOPS. In terms of power, the XPeng MONA M03 Max is equipped with a single motor, with a maximum power of 160 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 250 Newton-meters. The 2025 Aion RT 520 Lidar Edition, which is priced at 155,800 RMB ($21,500), has a similar price to the newly launched XPeng MONA M03 Max version, and the target users also overlap to a certain extent. Both cars are positioned as pure electric compact sedans, and both have good driving assistance hardware support. In comparison, the MONA M03 has a longer cruising range and a larger central control screen (15.6 inches). The Aion RT, on the other hand, has a slight advantage in the maximum speed with a speed of 163km/h. At the same time, the Aion RT has a larger body size, so it has a certain advantage in the passenger space.

The XPeng MONA M03 also has to face the challenge of traditional Japanese automakers.
